Beat the Heat : PNW Swimming Holes

Happy Holy HOT  Summer!!! I usually wait until mid-July to post my latest swimming hole list but there is no  time to waste this year with this record heat.  Each of these picturesque swimming spots offer something unique and most of them are within an hour or so drive from Portland. Enjoy and be safe! 

Cedar Butte Road Bridge. Wilson River: 20 Ft. Cliff jumping, picturesque river.
The Narrows: Deep pools. Cliff Jumping.
Washougal River Mile 3-5: Sun-drenched rocky outcroppings & clear pools.
Quartzille Creek: Pristine blue waters. Several swimming holes & jumping spots.
Lewis River: Cliff-jumping and dark green water.
Alder Flats: Deep blue-green pool with cluster of basalt outcroppings.
Salmon Falls: 22 Ft. Cliff jumping. Clear water and sandy beach.
