The hike to Burnt Lake is so beautiful and these magical huge burnt out trees are amazing! A fire went through this area, 1906. The story is that it was accidentally started by homesteader. This is a very accessible hike to the lake. We usually go further to the summit of Zigzag mountain, but there were still about 5 feet of snow to navigate so we turned around.
