This week we went back to Dog Mountain to catch the balsam root in full bloom. This mountain never disappoints and always offers a great cardio workout!!! We love to take the back way down towards Augspurger Mountain to add some extra miles and miss the crowds. If you have plans to see the flowers this season, the next two weeks will offer the greatest display. You do need a pass on the weekends, so we always get there early on a weekday.
