“Denial ain’t just a river in Egypt.” Mark Twain
March 9-21 was the epitome of my last ditch effort at living the life I had created before COVID-19.
Despite a new social distancing concept, I negotiated two clients through their inspection periods collecting 8 contractor bids in 4 days; showed more houses; had appointments with my chiropractor, acupuncturist, gynecologist and massage therapist; hiked a 14 mile- 4000 ft. elevation gain trek (parts of it through thigh deep snow) with a friend; spent time with other friends; hiked more; hosted a wellness event; taught yoga; biked; ate healthy food… I lived a busy but balanced life.
Hitting The Wall of Denial
The Forced Pause….
These days I am re-evaluating, imagining and practicing what life post-COVID-19 will look like. The constant motion hasn’t stopped and I don’t expect it to. It just feels different. More like being a captain on a sternwheeler traveling down the Columbia. Powerful, steady but with room to take it all in. I believe this experience is very purposeful. And what does this have to do with real estate… Let’s just say that my clients will have a renewed, richer experience.
