Silver Falls State Park is so gorgeous! Did you know that it’s the biggest state park in OR and just a little over an hour south of Portland?

Right now it is the quintessential PNW experience with waterfalls,lush, mossy forests and rambling creeks. Also, what is usually a tourist destination has almost no one around.

And guess what we saw? A huge, beautiful buck!

We hiked a little over 11 miles but it’s easy to do more or less.
